If you are planning on hunting the east end of the valley off Hwy 8, be warned that the last exit is Orchard Rd. If you pass that, the next chance to exit the highway will be at the rest stop near Grays Well, 10 miles after Gordons Well. They are constructing new lanes on the highway and there are lots of 60 mph zones with single lanes and CHP is on the prowl in these zones big time.
