Inherited Guns.

The man who taught the appreciation for hunting and the outdoors, my father, recently passed away. I have inherited his guns. Every one reminds me of good times, special hunts, and just hanging out with my old man. Despite the sentimental value, I have come to the realization that I cannot keep them all. Most I do not have use for and will probably never shoot them. Does anyone here know of a gun broker they trust? I have gone to a couple of places near my home and feel like they are trying to rip me off. I'm not looking to cash in on dad's stuff, but I don't want to be taken advantage of either. I figured that I would ask on SCH as I have gained tremendous knowledge and respect for many of you on here. Thanks in advance.

You can always look at "recently sold" comp listings on GunBroker.com to get a general ballpark of what the market is like right now.

Thanks for the info. My problem is that I have no idea what these are worth. All are pretty old. Just want somewhere to give me honest appraisals. I don't mind paying fees. I don't expect to get top dollar. But I don't want to get ripped off.

As far as your guns...There's some good guys on here that will set you straight with realistic values...Many of us are always looking for guns and in my case, shotguns...Post them up with pix or PM......
