Jr. Gteam Javelina hunt

Tough hunting this season for Javelina, as the kids didn't draw our normal unit. We managed to put 5 kids on the critters and four connected. Starting with Adam on Saturday morning then Timothy on Monday morning followed by Joaquin that afternoon. On Tuesday morning we put Briana and Michael on a herd, Briana was able to connect on a nice Javelina. I'm proud of these kids, putting in a lot of miles in some tough terrain all while smiling and having a blast. Can't wait for the next Gteam adventure.

Congrats. Great pictures. What does javelin taste like? How do you cook it?
Only way to describe it would be the texture of pork but with a distinct scent, not my first or second choice of wild game. Pretty much anything you can do with venison you can do with Javelina, it does require more care in the field, both boars and sows have a very strong smell.

Thanks for the info. I don't know if I will ever hunt them now, lol.

It was a blast brother! Loved seeing how much fun the kids had.
