Lake Jennings Cats

Kicked off the summer nighttime cat fishing season last night at Jennings. Plenty of action once the sun was down. Hit one of my spots that has produced in the past. I got 4 and my son 1. We had plenty of action with 3 or 4 misses and 2 took me into brush and could not horse them out even on 12 lb. test. We had a great time. Total of about 4 pounds of fillets which are soaking in buttermilk after their over night soak in salt water with fresh lemon juice bath. Going to be deep frying them Cajun style on the 4th!

Thanks Ilovesprig. Yes, night fishing is great, it was a bit cool still. I really enjoy the nights when it is warmer, T-shirt weather at midnight. Will try to make at least 5 or 6 more trips this summer.
