Let's call it... "Hunting Preparation."

Anybody else been sittin' in this heat past few weeks like I do? It's freakin' 88.5F in my office. Probably get up to 90 soon. Most of the time at worst it gets like 85F and I'm totally fine with that. Rather used to it. Don't usually do A/C 'cause it eventually makes me want to cough from the cold air makin' my lungs raw.

Y'ever trying coding and being a genius when you're whole damn body is damp? In my minds eye... I imagine some broke-and-po dude in India doing exactly that and trying to take my job, and that re-motivates me.

Plus I've been thinking this should help get me used to the heat I'm going to out be in all next week.

What other kinda behavior pattern shifts do you guys do leading up to your season? To help get your bodies ready for it?

I haven't tried it yet but I've heard that some hunters change when they "drop the kids of at the pool" so that it won't get in the way with the morning hunt. Kinda makes sense.

Yeah I do that too. Try to use MetaMucil in the days leading up to heading out there so I start-off as empty as I can be.

I've been acclimating to the heat for a couple of months now...doing a lot of hiking in pants and long sleeves plus a heavy pack for fire season...Got my bow ready and looking forward to my first archery season in D11 then riffle on D13 and D11...

I have been in the woods lately, it gets hot very early... try to walk as slow as posible to avoid sweating.
