Long term camping at wister

I’m having a hard time getting a response from wister. When do they send out the long term camping application for this season. If they have already sent them out can someone please post it. Thank you in advance.
 
I’m having no luck. Could someone please send me a contact number and name for the wister unit. Thanks

Thank you for your interest in the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Imperial Wildlife Area (IWA)
waterfowl season long campground parking at the Wister Unit. The following steps are for obtaining
a permit for the 2023/2024 waterfowl season long parking for recreational vehicles. Please take the
time to read the entire packet, take note of the dates and deadlines.

Please return Parking Permit Applications to: RV drawing, Imperial Wildlife Area, 8700 Davis Rd,
Niland CA. 92257; or email to [email protected] titled “Season Long Recreational
Vehicle Parking Application.” Applications must be received at the lWA Office by 3:00 p.m.
Thursday, September 1, 2023. Certified and registered mail is not accepted. Additional information
may be obtained by calling (760)359-0577.

There will be a scheduled drawing on Tuesday September 5
th
, 2023, successful applicants will be
notified by email (same day). On Friday, September 8th, 2023, at 08:00 a.m. at IWA, successful
applicants will have the opportunity to pick their camp space, in the order they were drawn. If a
successful applicant is not present the Department will assign them a camp space, after all the
successful applicants that were present. If an applicant is unable to attend and wishes to designate
someone to pick for them, they may do so with written permission from the applicant. IWA staff will
determine what documents constitutes appropriate written permission.

Applicants and guests are responsible for following state and local COVID guidelines. At any time,
permits may be revoked following a mandate. Failure to remove yourself and belongings in the time
allotted may result in disqualification of future privileges.

Group spaces drawing- all RV’s that wish to be in the same group space must apply together as one
(1) party. No one is allowed to apply for or occupy more than one group space (that means as
an applicant or a permit holder). Noncompliance will result in disqualification. Group spaces must
have a minimum of three (3) and no more than five (5) RV’s. All applications for the same group
space must be submitted in a single envelope.

Individual spaces are to be filled with 1 RV.

Applicants may apply for either a group space or an individual space. You may not apply for both.
Individual applications submitted by group applicants will be omitted.

The IWA staff will determine what constitutes an RV.
