What part of the valley you plan on being. I'll throw a spot or 2 your way just need to know what part of the valley. It's a big place. I just got back from 4 days down there.

I'm in Calexico

Calexico has decent dove numbers down there. I would drive around and look to the sky bring a pair of of binos too. They'll help when you find a few birds flying around a field if you look on the ground and see birds that will help you decide if you want to hunt the spot. I won't give away any spots because they're hard earned and the valley is constantly changing what holds birds one day may not the next

Good info D16 next time I'll reserve some time to scout, by the way do doves prefer the green fields or cut fields or the brown fields

The birds are weird you can find them in any of those kinds of fields it's all about being there at the right place and time

Steve,

Doves are seed eaters......Rarely are they in green fields......Disked with seed, stubble fields, or just plain tumble weed fields are all more to their liking.

If you don't do well the day of the hunt just blame it on the damn weather patterns

Works for me
