I got a smoking deal in the Amazon warehouse deals. Got it for like $300 a few years back because it had a scratch on it.The Weston is on my short list. Not sure I need 1.5 hp. That unit is like the .378 Weatherby of grinders.

I Have the 1/2 HP Weston. Great quality. If you removed all or most silver skin off your meat before sending it into the grinder, you can grind a whole deer and it will never clog. It'll grind up the silver skin to a certain point, but if you really got lazy and never removed ends of tendons or silver skin, it will clog after a while.
I have he Cabela's 3/4. The only issue I ever have is when meat is to warm on second grind. I have put about 10 elk through it and it is still going strong. If I had to choose another I would likely get a 1 HP or 1.5 HP of the following:

I do my first grind then put meat and grinding head with auger in freezer for a while. Slightly frozen meat works best.
