Been a while since Iv posted. Life and work takes a toll.

Goose is rad !

No papers, Iv never cared about that fine print anyways. She was born January 1st 2025, I held off on bird intro and just let her be a puppy for the first 6 months of her life and focused on house obedience.

She dialed in with the basics, “here, sit, stay, place and create”

Took her up to Ruth Weiss and have had a Cuple sessions with birds and gun fire. She has no reaction to gun fire as I expected, goose has been exposed to fire works and loud environmental noises since I picked her up.

She’s super small still, 34lbs and has a little more then middle of the road prey drive, I’m sure with more bird work she will be a fire cracker. The cover she was working with Ruth is taller than her and she bounces through that cover no problem.

In two sessions this dog has progress quite a bit and at this point has had to pigeons shot over her and I’m excited to take this dog to the next level. Most of all she is a companion and we will grow together.

This is my first upland dog and it’s been a fun ride so far.

I’ll have her In The field this year coming in to her own on wild birds. I’ll be fine tuning and working on steadiness in the off season next year.

Bitter sweet, I miss Cali but she’s waiting for me on the other side. Goose has big paws to fill.
