Too bad. I have not tried it yet. My hunting buddy almost stepped on one during turkey season and he kept the meat since it almost got him!

Looks like a speckled rattlesnake... Crotalus mitchellii. Sidewinder country doesn’t start until you get out to the IV.
It definitely had horns. Horned rattle snake. thus the sidewinder..

I was coming home from the river one time pulled over to take a leak and literally had a baby sidewinder between my legs. Those things blend into the sand so well.

If some of you head out o the high desert areas better get covered head to toe. The fricken bitting flies are bad this year. Better get an bug mesh for your head. Suckers are bitting hard this year.. ugggg

Worse fly year, I've experienced....I'm going to buy a Thermal Cell and give it a try.
There some nasty fn flies this year.
