My new long range rig!

Check it out. Very, very psyched and could not be more excited to break in this baby. Picked up my Rem 700 Sendero (7mm mag) yesterday from John at Fine firearms after he made a few aftermarket additions for me: Rifle Basix trigger set to 2.5 lbs, suWEET! 20 MOA Badger Ordnance rail... SuWEET! Seekins rings hand-lapped by John while I was in Boston (thanks again John!), topped off with Bushnell Elite 3-12x LRHS with GH2 reticle. Bada$$. Gonna start the break in this weekend. So stoked! Don't judge me... I may take some shots over 500 yards with this baby

Thanks guys! Forgot to mention two other key specs: 26" barrel with 1 to 9.25" twist rate. I'll be looking at a sweet spot of 160-170gr bullets I suppose. John keeps telling me I'll be reloading my own bullets soon

Shout out again to John and the guys at Fine Firearms. This rig performed so well for me last fall, I want to push out a little further. I absolutely love the Bushnell elite LRHS scope, so I got a longer range 4.5-18x to put on the 7mag. John mounted it for me Saturday. The 3-12x that I had on the 7mag will go on my new Sako 85 RH .260 that just came in, as soon as the 10 day waiting period is over. I can't wait! I feel like Ed Grimley at Christmas!

Thanks guys. With the 3-12x on it and shooting factory loaded HSM cartridges with 168gr VLD bullets, I was getting .5 MOA groups at 100 and 200 yards. I don't know if I can get to the range this Sunday to sight in the new scope, but once I get it sighted in, I'll post a pic of a group. John and I will go to the range when I pick up the .260. He's been a great help putting both these rigs together.
