Horned owls are also one of the only predators of skunks as well...…....
Um... the InterWebz seems to disagree with that statement.
Did you perhaps mean to state that Horned Owls are one of the few species that *regularly* predate on skunks?

Run into 'em all the time in the night-time while leaving back outta D15. Usually scurrying up ahead of me in some thicker part of the trail. I kinda don't mind seeing them, since I figure they probably keep away the other predators to some degree or another. And they are kinda cute.
WHO who who would have known an owl would eat a skunk? And you knew that without consulting the internet? Impressive Trig!
That's rad.. love owls but especially those. A few years back I saw a huuuuge giant horned owl in the IV. Took a pic but I think it's on my old phone.
A buddy of mine is an avid bird photographer. He recently shot this burrowing owl near the runways at ONT Intl Airport.
He's still hanging around our house.
