Today the LA Times released a 'report' from The Center for Biological Diversity and the Mountain Lion Foundation by a Tiffany Yap, a biologist at the center and primary author of the petition. She is claiming long tail are 'endangered' and need protection. You know what that means.

We need a measured well thought out response to her lies. Gotta stop this now! Let's gather a response with names of people who have seen many of these 'endangered' species proliferate the So. Cal landscape in the past few years.

This could turn into a hunting ban for everything. Post your reports of long tail sightings and Kills. With enough information we can label her a liar and shut this down.

Pretty sure they're not endangered here in San Diego Co....I do believe she's talking about lions that are basically landlocked by houses....What she fails to mention about this group of lions is they're no different than any other lion in California....If you've ever noticed these folks always find another name for some sub-species of a very common species (STEPHAN's Kangaroo rat, YUMA clapper rail, etc.)...I would think it would be tough to get "Endangered" status on such a common animal.

These people contradict themselves so badly it's almost funny. They want to save the lions there but once the population rebounds and one of their Malibu forest yoga folks gets attacked, they'll whine about that too. But then you can't manage the population via hunting, so the rich folks with goats will secretly get depredation permits so they don't ruin their virtue signalling amongst their liberal friends.

Not sure where I was going with that but yeah it's all wacky here in CA.
