New bow hunter

A friend of mine got D11. Before I got my A32 tag, I went and scouted D11, since I live in Santa Clarita. It would be nice as it's in my backyard. But when I scouted near me, access was iffy, so I realized, I'd spend as much time driving/hiking in D11, as it would take me to do A32, IMO. But D11 is a tough zone. Get some decent snake gaiters and scout a lot. Find a nice high point, use OnX to find some springs, maybe a burn zone that isn't more than about 3 years old, and you may turn something up. But definitely scout it. If you have a truck and mtn bike, you may want to scout it by finding a place to park and riding your bike on the fire roads in search of good glassing spots and deer sign. Good luck
