New family,on SCH

We are not exactly new to hunting but new on here. I am Kelly (a local Realtor and Native American from Santa Ysabel) and my husband, Ernie (a 25+yr fireman ). I grew up in a hunting family and so did my hubby. We have a 15 yr old and 16 month old. Ern has killed many deer, birds, etc. I have killed two bucks over the past 2 years and a handful of birds. I had a California Elk tag 2 yrs ago (when I was pregnant ) and my husband has an California elk tag this year.
I just got a 260 I will hunt with this year, thanks to Fine Firearms. I just sighted in and it shoots great at 200 yds with 110 grain. I'd like to get more women posting on here rather than just being at home waiting for our men to go hunt. Hunting together makes my relationship strong with my husband. How has hunting strengthened your family?

Hey welcome. I agree. We need more women and more kids. My wife is the reason we started hunting. She wanted to learn to shoot skeet then she wondered what else we could do with our shottys. We are know a 3 generation hunting family with a 6 year old grand daughter already studying her hunters book. She will make 4 generations in the field at the same time.

Welcome to SCH......NWTF (National Wild Turkey Fed.) has a WITO (Women in the Outdoors) event up in Wynola (August)......You sound like this can of thing is right up your alley.

I also have 2 youth events that the kids would like.....Youth turkey hunt in Santa Ysabel East Preserve (March) and JAKES Day at the Range at Escondido Fish & Game (June).

I hunt MG & SY areas a lot, game rich for sure......
