Good Morning Gents,
My buddy and I have been talking about doing a wild pheasant hunt this year. Were open to traveling even if its multiple states but don't want to shoot up farm raised birds you have to kick to get to fly. Any advise or ideas would be fantastic. Thanks in advance!

Joel,

Montana is the place to go...Not only for pheasant, but all things upland...Sharpies, huns, and sage grouse, as well...If you get a chance watch a guy named Eric Forester on You Tube...He doesn't say where he's at, but I'm sure it's mostly Eastern Montana...We've done very well in the Lewistown area too...More public lands than you could possibly hunt....

Yes, it is and it can be taunting, but Montana gives you Literature where all the the BMA properties are...Plus, OnX says where state and federal properties can be accessed...Like I said, way more land to hunt than you'll ever be able to hunt...........

There's also a lot of private...Knock on doors, many of these folks are very nice and allow upland hunting...Big game is a whole other animal............

ps...Don't forget about waterfowl............ ;)
