Putting the wood to the geese

We are having a pretty epic goose season. We put 3 more flocks on the deck this morning. One honker weighed almost 14 pounds. "Get er done"!

The spread looked good today.

I am so glad we are having a good season locally on dark geese this year @ilovesprig . Not being able to go to Canada this year was a bummer. We miss our friends and certainly the good goose hunting in Canada.

Definitely two different hunts. We don't shoot as many birds locally but it is satisfying as you know, they don't come as easy. Hopefully we can get into Canada in 2021.

Definitely more satisfying...I talked with Claudio Ongaro (outfitter in Alberta) awhile back...The word is they may open the border next season, but you'll have to show proof on having gotten the C-19 shot.

I hope so Steve. Small world, I know Claudio. We bump into him now and then passing through Edmonton. What a great guy he is. Since we hunt and stay at a friends house a couple hours from St. Paul and North West of there, we sometimes hold over in a hotel in Edmonton to and from depending upon our flights. He stages some of his clients at that hotel. We always try to chat when we see him.

With your age (no offense) you should be a higher priority to get the chip er' I meant the vaccine.
