When we in az. for our recent rabbit hunt I saw the smallest quail I have ever see. We call the real small ones S&P shakers, these ones were the S&P that goes in the shakers. Small.

Look up a button quail.we used to raise them.their the size of a mouse.

I use to use button quail to keep the bottom of my aviary clean of seed. Birds. Make a mess when they eat.

Rt.i believe thats what we used them for.they were in the bottom of the finch and cockatiel cages.huh.never thought thats what my stepdad used them for but that makes sense.
