Went out with Jacob this morning. And I could tell it was going to be better than yesterday in basically the same area....Jacob started it off with about a 45 yd pellet gun shot on the 1st bunny at 5:15 am....He then hit 3 more in a row....Then missed one....Then got #5 with his .17.

Since we saw so many more, I got on the gun and started with about 80 yd'er with the .17....3 in a row with the pellet gun....Then missed one at 10 yds. 3 times, before I finally bagged him....Geeze!.....lol....We were done with 10 by 6:45.

Did some driving around, since it was so early....More poults seen with sizes ranging from barely 3" tall to some that were almost as big as there mother.

ps.....Found the motherlode of bucks too....;)

Good job. What a great Sunday for you two. Missed the morning hunt so I'm going to try out the evening.

Love the velvet bucks.

Nicely done Steve. The hunt looked like a lot of fun and paid dividends at the dinner table.

BTW: I like the big fireplace.

That's how it's done!!

Love your setup with all the taxidermy work. I have a few things around my fireplace , but yours is motivating me to more. Congrats again. Good post

Thanks guys......I found (literally) this thing back before duck season....It is unbelievable how much better ducks, geese, venison, doves taste....I know I'll be bringing to Montana and Canada with me.....;)
