So a friend of mine that into reloading decided to set me up for deer season with some new copper bullets. Time to sight in the rifle and decide on an effective round for my 30-06. Went with a Hornady 150 grain GMX . I was pretty happy with the results. Lets just pray I get to try one.20191019_144729.jpg20191024_074715.jpg

150g copper .30-06 treats me very well, you'll do just fine. Target shoot out to your ethical distance to know the drop.

And remember if you're shooting down hill, hold low.....

Mark,

How far was that?...You were happy with that grouping?...Were you on a sled or just on bags?...Was the low center your last shot?

100 yds of the bag. probably the best I will shoot. Last shot was on a different target, but did not take a picture of that 1. 1 inch high at 100

I sighted in Stefanie's .243 a couple of days ago...Copper right out of the box...Dead center and about 1/2" low at 60 yds...Perfect

Don’t stress there is nothing like your first buck. Enjoy every minute of it, the suffering, the early mornings, the sore legs and the close calls. Once it is over you will never get it back and it will never be the same.
Thank you... it has been a long time driving, hiking, scouting. This season I will miss the last week for work reasons.. I only got three weeks to make it happen, but I understand you. I just want that opportunity...

I zeroed it in at 200 Yds, it will hit 1" high at 100 and I can hold over 1/2 a mil at 300. I will be on target. Hell, just the excitement of taking the shot will make the crosshairs go all over the place ;)
