RIP MR. Gore. Gore-Tex changed the whole outdoor clothing industry. It’s one of the best inventions ever for hunters, fishermen and most all outdoors people. I remember the first waterfowl parka with GoreTex I bought was a Browning parka back in the 80’s. First time I wore it was on a duck hunt in pouring rain. It kept me dry, warm and comfortable. I wore that parka for 20 plus years until it was about wore out. All my jackets and parkas now are GoreTex lined. Millions of us outdoor people have benefited from his invention. Thank you Mr. Gore.

True American innovator. I worked at the Army Natick Labs for a short while and learned some interesting history there about the early days of Gore-Tex and how he worked with the Labs to transform Army cold weather gear. Now we take it all for granted.

I can remember when I bought my 1st 10X, Gore-Tex waterfowling vest back in the 70's (still have it)...What a great invention...RIP Mr. Gore

My first was a 10x 3-1 parka. Used it for many years at Tule lake and then my son used it. I still have it also
