Question for the brain trust. I've found a few rubs and scrapes here in d16, threw some cameras up and was disappointed by the general lack of activity around them. Do mule deer behave differently around rubs and scrapes than whitetail? Do y'all prioritize hunting around rubs/scrapes?

On private property in the "16"...Mule deer act very much like white tail...They have a home range that they stay pretty much their entire lives...That mark their areas and these scrapes and rubs are easily found and seen...The bucks that live in more open areas, not so much...If you find FRESH rubs...Then you're in the right place... ;)

That's really helpful, thanks Steve! The rubs I've found are mostly on smaller shrubs/trees so I suspect it's likely that they're all spikes/forks/sporks in the area. I did, however find a monster rub last week that looks like it was from last year. Will be staring into that canyon a lot in the coming weeks!
