San Jacinto #13 reserve for newbie

Hi,
I won a draw #13 on Oct-29 at SJ. I never hunt in SJ before, I don't know if it is good to go 1 week after opening day. Any advice or guide ?
Really appreciated any help.
PS: I did hunt at Wister couple times.
 
Congrats......It's always a good time to go......That's how you learn......Tom will help you, but you really should find a guy to go with that knows the area......Lots of good 'fowlers around.

Depending on the blind site and if you have a dog in your group, up to 4.....Tom will normally ask you these questions.....Believe it or not, some folks show up without waders.....At least one person must have them to retrieve your ducks.

Another reason to have an experienced waterfowler with you is ID'ing your ducks.....BEFORE YOU SHOOT.....There are restrictions on some species.

Thanks "IloveSprig" for Info. Look like i need to look for an experienced waterfowler hunter with dog to go on this hunt.
