SCH hits Lake Henshaw 4-13-21

After an unsuccessful turkey hunt in the morning, John & I hit Lake Henshaw...The crappie bite is really starting to pick-up...The guy next to us was throwing shiners and was catching 2 fish to everyone of ours...Bass fishing is good as well...Fun morning

ps...Caught a nice one today at Lake Hodges

I was away today working otherwise I would have invited you all up to fish. Not much in the way of turkeys here so not much chance of that.

Had a fun time. The whole idea around a blast and cast day is just cool. Finishing it off with lunch and good company capped of a great day!

Little shiners were better than jigs...I got mine on black/red with chartreuse tail, both in the tube and straight tail variety...Later in the day, I got them on pearl white with the round body, straight tail...All used with a light cork bobber with about an 18" drop.
