SCH in Alberta! Stay tuned for daily updated death toll...

Just returned from the morning hunt and some quick scouting. No wind this morning but a great shoot for sure.

I must be getting old. I could barely hold a limit of geese for the photo. In my defense the birds were pretty large models.

Most of the geese this morning were big guys. We did get 2 lessers and 1 snow though. I was shooting video when the snows came in.

We got some great video. We will put together something cool after the hunt is over

Great work John.........Boy, I can tell your really north of us by the habitat.........8 big boys are probably close to a 100 lbs.........lol

Great start...........Now go get some green............ ;)

These birds didn't decoy but still a neat snip of video unedited...

The birds were less than 20 yards away - looks further in the clip.

john i just want you to know that all of us here are working while you live the good life...........

cool video though

They looked close to me............lol

Did you get that walker?.......We lost a couple that way.......Just flew off without guys watching them.......Now if they're up right.......Kaboom!

The walker is now in need of resuscitation. He is no longer among the living.

Another cool clip. Looks like some confusion. I was on the far left and had a portion of the flock you cannot see. Needless to say there were more birds falling than meets the eye. ;)

Mouth calls...

We just returned from scouting. We found birds everywhere. It amazes me how much agriculture, water and waterfowl is up here. It's like being in another country - Oh ya' we are in another country. ::)

Making phone calls now getting permission for the various fields. There is one field that may have some ducks. Hopefully we can get on.

This is just plain fun!

We had a tough time getting a hold of farmers last night so we ended up settling for a field we already had permission to hunt. Needless to say it was a bit slow. We did manage a good mixed bag though.

Mallards, snows, lessers and greaters filled the bag today.
