went out scouting this morning in search of water or sign about 2 miles in there it is water (good), so let's take a look not a single track or sign of deer (bad), well I set the trail cam out anyways, now for the ugly was the uphill hike out of there, (more training is needed)

Nice country you've found there. Can't believe there aren't hoof prints at the water's edge. They must be drinking somewhere else along there or they're getting water from eating plants.

Is that path a game trail or just regular walking trail?

Went scouting today too. No water..but did find a truck in a dried up ravine.

saw a few deer tracks on the way way in, no boot prints thats what got me excited, the trails look like cattle but nothing fresh.
question is a week long enough to check the trail cam and determine if its a bust

Stevo,

Cattle on public land?......If you found water, then it's not a bust. Your problem may be that creek may go up & down along it's course and they could just be watering somewhere along that route......Week should show you something.
