Howdy fellas! I saw a small 4x4 and a broken up forky chasing a doe this morning. The bigger buck was love struck and could care less I was watching him. In the picture the larger buck is in the trees

We see the same thing here in Colorado.

First rut starts early November and sometimes late October. We see peaks and valleys in regards to how much rutting activity there is, but they can rut into late January.

Those babies born this year can go into estrus and they tend to do so late.

I did see some bucks back in bachelor groups yesterday though.

Here are some bucks from yesterday at our place.
