well the boys and I discovered the History Chanel’s “Forged in Fire” it’s a knife and sword making show. After watching season one we decided to head down to my shop and make a few of our own. Even made one for their best friend. It was a great afternoon and now my boys have knives any inmate would be proud of. We just used mild steel for our first knives I think we will use files for the next ones. The hammer handles still need a little work but all in all they were stoked and I continue my reign as coolest guy in their lives.

It was a great afternoon and now my boys have knives any inmate would be proud of.

LOL, that just cracked me up when I read it.

...they were stoked and I continue my reign as coolest guy in their lives.

Enjoy that while it lasts. There will probably be a break in that between 15 or so and their mid 20's then it will slowly come around again (especially when they start to discover you're right about things in life most of the time).
