I've hunted th valley for years and done great but this weekend I was in Sacramento so I tried my luck in some unfamiliar territory. Hunted the Sacramento bypass on sat with no birds. Talked to a few hunters who had 1 or two each. Sunday I went to the yolo bypass and it was even slower. Nobody had any. I saw one that was a questionable shot so I didn't take it. Overall not a lot of birds flying. I'm gonna make the valley this weekend hopefully I can find some birds. Overall it wa a great experience trying out new areas. Both place were great spots for waterfowl.
