for those of you who do not have snakeguard boots do you recommend buying snake guards for San Diego spring turkey hunting?

Yep I wear Turtleskin gaiters. Almost got hit once so I don't chance it anymore. Hate buzzworms

Absolutely.......I don't hunt without them these days and they're always in my truck for fishing the shores as well..........

Me too. Gaiters and chaps in the car whenever I go out from now till October.
