State Record Crappie From Lake Henshaw?

I was Henshaw last week and one of the guys that works at the resort said he caught a really, really big crappie...I had been fishing near him the same day...Tony doesn't hear well and I ask him if he had it weighed...He told me yes...So, I ask him how much did it weigh?...He told me without batting an eye...5 lb-2oz...WHAT!....The state record is 4lbs-5oz (pic).........

With that, I asked if he had taken any pictures...He said Kim who works in the store did...She also helped him weigh it...The picture is very impressive..........

ps...The fish has since been eaten..........

My PB crappie is 2 lbs 15 oz and we thought it was huge. That thing is a beast!!

His a picture of Tony's fish...It's obviously really big, but 5 lbs...I don't know...I did talk to him and on a digital scale and 2 witnesses...Plus, he said there were better pictures from folks down on the dock....

Are the crappie biting in any numbers at Henshaw? if they are gonna make a showing I would think around this full moon would be the time.

Guys on the fishing dock are still catching them in about 15' of water...Don't think they're on the beach yet...The bass are though...Lots of nests observed.....

Might be the pic but I don't see 5+lbs there. I mean that will all due respect.

Should of got a woman to measure it... they are less prone to misrepresent size lol.
