Looking to drop my first deer this year.
I want to shoulder mount my first deer.
Any suggestions on shops or persons who can provide me with this service?

Mike Berry in Pine Valley does a great job at a very reasonable price.....619-473-8312

Stefanie and Jacob's 1st bucks were done by Mike.

There's a guy in Holtville also... Vandiver's Ironwood Taxidermy... (760) 356-4367 He did this buck in 4 months, he had his work room full of nice looking bucks and Breck did the gallo.

Generally 1 year.
A little story about Mike. I have had three deer done by Mike (two of them was when he worked for Cape Horn) and he does a nice job.
I took him a Turkey once and knowing it would be about a year I waited. After a year I called him and asked how it was going.
HE TOLD ME THE DOG ATE IT. Never called me to tell me and didn’t even act like it was a big deal.
Just “O’ well”.
Will never take anything to him again or recommend him.

That SUCKS!....He's never seemed like that kind of guy to me.
 
Thanks for the info on the turn around guys...... I would recommend Trophy Room in riverside the guys do a great job and had my buck ready in 8 moths .
 
Mike Berry mounted a boar for me and it came out beautiful. Then he mounted a buck for me and I am not happy. The buck was full blown rutting with a swollen neck. When I got it back from him it now has a skinny neck. The quality is good but it bums me out every time I look at it with its pencil neck.
