For the last 8 years I have taken a group of my customers down to Yuma to bird hunt. We showed up last Friday night and hunted all day Sat and Sun. I would say we bagged at least 60 Dove, 20 quail and a pair of mallards. On Monday we hunted planted pheasants in the Valley on the way home. One of my customers just bought a 100 bird card. The planted birds definitely wasn't my cup of tea but my pup did get to point a few birds so it was good training for her and we just got to have 6 smoked pheasant for Christmas dinner. The pup did pretty good she is about to turn 6 months is not gun shy at all and picked up every bird I shot over the weekend. She is definately a little rough but the potential is there and I have high hopes for her. Right now it's all about her having fun and me remembering she is just a pup.

Sorry I didn't take many pictures. I am going out to Yuma again for New Years I love hunting AZ it's like another country compared to CA.

Sweet! Another Weim owner. I love proving that weims can still hunt. Fantastic breed.

My dog is now 5 and I still plan a planted hunt every year. People poo-poo on them but it's like a reward for my dog after the end of hunt season and plus if you go with the right place it can be fun as well.
