Good on all of you I admire that you had that I did not. Both of my parents grew up eating game meat for susitence during the first part of the last century (depression) and had no desire to return to it (my mother was from New Mexico and my father from Tennesee). It was my New Mexico aunts and uncles (cattle ranchers) that opened my eyes to hunting when I was in my early teens. I saw elk and deer shot in New Mexico and ate the meat and that is what lit my desire and my journey. After that with my mother many times complaining about what I had brought through the door to ask her to prepare, She hated picking shot out of bird breasts and always complained about how deer was gamey tasting, My dad never said anything...Old guys rule...can't see the dead mammal..but old guys rule..my pops is 88 and still finishng... Thank the Lord Jesus..
