Good on all of you I admire that you had that I did not. Both of my parents grew up eating game meat for susitence during the first part of the last century (depression) and had no desire to return to it (my mother was from New Mexico and my father from Tennesee). It was my New Mexico aunts and uncles (cattle ranchers) that opened my eyes to hunting when I was in my early teens. I saw elk and deer shot in New Mexico and ate the meat and that is what lit my desire and my journey. After that with my mother many times complaining about what I had brought through the door to ask her to prepare, She hated picking shot out of bird breasts and always complained about how deer was gamey tasting, My dad never said anything...

I grew up hunting with my dad and like so many chased women and booze all through my 20's and some 30's. I found SCH and with some help from some of you was able to relearn hunting in general. I appreciate you guys for the insight and advise.
