Turkey Leg Carnitas

Made this recipe w/ the legs and thighs of a turkey. Turned out great with mango salsa.

The best turkey leg recipe there is. This is turkey carnitas, like the carnitas in Mexican restaurants, only with turkey legs, not pork.

Looks great, Phil....Leg meat is tough to deal with on a wild turkey....Did you boil it 1st?

Yes... simmered for four hours. A little chewy but tasted great.

Awesome plate, good presentation. I have that salsa in my refri, never thought about using that way.
