Took the shot. He stood up on his hind legs. When he got on all four, he ran.
I thought damn, suckers tough.
He was busting off 4”diameter trees. But no blood, not a drop.
After a 50-60 yard hike, things started looking a little better.

@Lungpopper probably shot a spike and is embarrassed to show it. I would pass on any Nilgai smaller than a 4x
probably would have been a fork next year.
