What hunts are you doing this year?

After missing turkey season with some family issues, I'm ready for some hunting! I am hunting antelope in Wyoming, elk in Colorado, A-22 tag, and a 5 day trip on the Polaris supreme!

What does everyone else have on the schedule?

Nice schedule, Owen.......A-22 locally, Montana in Sept (bow), Canada waterfowl, back to Montana for the duck & pheasant openers (+ huns & Sharpies).....Utah waterfowl November.....I'll see what they have for OTC deer.

Oh to have the money and time you guys have. We will be hitting the pheasant field we found last year and doing as much dove and quail as we can. That's probably it.

Great schedule and good luck. My last two elk hunts where to Colorado, awesome country!

I've got a buddy who is a guide in hothkiss/Crawford.

What unit (s) does he guide in? When I lived in Cedaredge we hunted above town in both the 52 and 411 areas back when the tags were not area specific. We knocked out some nice bucks back then. Crawford had nice bucks back in the day.

Doe deer in the back yard.
Buck pronghorn close to home.
Cow elk further south in CO.

I will probably grab a doe pronghorn tag for our late December season too.

Possible whitetail otc buck/Doe license.

A22 and more then likely D16 as long as they don't sell out
AZ Elk November
New Mexico Audad in February
Then all the normal stuff dove, quail, duck here, IV, and in Yuma

My kid is in for an Early October youth Javelina hunt so if he draws that tag we will be on the road a lot this year.

Should be some great posts/reports coming from you guys. Exciting stuff. Local day trip stuff for me.

Looks like
Aug AZ OTC deer
Sept dove
Sept A22
Late Oct Idaho Elk (maybe , on the fence)
Late Oct-Nov hoping I can grab a leftover D16
Nov (not a hunt) but hiking into Havasupai
Dec Elk hunt in AZ and stay for the the OTC deer
Jan Elk hunt in New Mexico
February I'll be resting.

Almost as ambitious as "That's Just My Games'" schedule! ;)

A22 & maybe D16. Cow elk private lands Utah, Duck at the club.
Maybe more. Trying to work a "resident" license in CO since I own a place there.

Darrel, I like the Idaho hunt that was my go to if I didn't draw in AZ. I want to hunt elk every year. With NM, CO and ID it is doable. There are some sweet combo deer Elk hunts you can do in ID. And I think ID has the you can shoot any animal less than your tag rule so if you have a Elk tag and a monster deer pops out you can use that tag on the deer.

-D16, maybe two tags again.
-AZ deer tag (we will see what it is when they post....)
-AZ cow elk in December.
-Texas is always on standby to round out the freezer with some axis deer or blackbuck or some good old whitetail if needed.
-Lots and lots of bird hunting with my Setters. Hoping for a good quail year with the good rains. There is still flowing water in the backcountry now. And I usually hit AZ again in January or February for Mearn's Quail.

Looking forward to a great year!
