Where to buy gamebirds?

Hello All,

Looking to purchase gamebirds (preferably quail) for dog training. I'm located in San Diego. Does anyone have any leads on ranches or farms that sell quail in San Diego, Imperial or Inland Empire?

Japanese quail don't fly they just flutter a few feet at a time good for pups to play with but no good plant and shoot.

This will sound like I’m saying “you can get anything on Craigslist” but for quail it’s true. Lots of quail chicks (mostly button quail) in San Diego area. Then I’d look at IV Craigslist. I’ve seen pheasant on there as well.

I raise Japanese quail for meat and eggs. As mentioned above, they are not strong flyers. However, if you are interested shoot me a pm. I live in Redlands.
