Hi ilovesprig. Thanks for being gracious and replying to my request for blind recommendations at Wister. I was lucky enough to draw #17 at Wister, but not have hunted there for years. I have a new duck hunter, and wanted to at least show him a few birds. I wish I could figure out how to PM on the website....unless this is it. My email is [email protected] if you prefer. You can make a 13 work at SJ. Tom will tell you where to go. Some areas you will need a dog. Plenty of Blinds that don't require a dog. Some Blinds require waders and some don't. If you have a dog, waders and decoys then you will get into a descent spot. If you want, email me back with a phone number and I will get your more information. I have hunted SJ and Wister quite a bit.

I love archery and am stoked to finally start bow hunting!

Just joined! Hope to find buddies to hunt with. Born and bred in Australia, and lived in So Cal for 18 years. Interest: dove, quail, rabbits

I am new to SD county. I have hunted in NY and PA. Need advice on upland and turkey hunting in the county.

It rained last night! That should help the deer and birds. If we get a little more it will really help the Fall hunts.

Got my book and membership yesterday.
I booked a 2 day weekend at Cummings. I am told 2 day is not enough so I think I will stretch it to Wed.
trying to figure out where to start on the ranch.
I was thinking over near the ponds, what do you think?

I sure would like some info on either ranch, Cummimgs or Benz Ranch.
I should have my membership number this week and planned on reserving one for a hunt either the first of second weekend on the season.
I hunt with a rifle only. I did hear they were going to open up one of these ranches to rifle hunt deer. I think that was Cummings.
I plan to us these properties for my vacations. I am a fly fisherman also.
