I've been absent for the past 5 years or so.... Kids, work, moved away from SoCal, life, etc. But I haven't stopped hunting. I remembered the great great conversations around the sport that SCH brought, so I decided to log back in. Good to see many of the same people are on here. I figured I'd Came back and figured I'd re-introduce myself. I'm on the Central Coast now, so if anyone want to chase quail or pigs, let me know.

Quail!? Yes please.

Yep! But, he's now retired. His back legs don't work like they used to. He hasn't really hunted in about two years. I did take him out for a really easy quail hunt last year over gentle rolling hills. He loved it, but I shouldn't have taken him. It was confirmation that he's absolutely done hunting. Now he just relaxes and sleeps. Don't know how much longer he'll be around. His back legs give out.

Ya we had to put ours down last month. They are fun dogs glad he is still around. One of the weirdest breeds I have ever encountered.

Welcome back! Are you hunting quail and pig on public or private land?
