I am taking an open sight 30-30 marling and my bow to AK this year to hunt sitka black tails. The long range thing has kind of been turning me off the past few years. I like the challenge/process more than the kill.

Well for me they are alive and doing well. Like EdF, I have a model 94 in 30-30- I also have a Browning Bl-22 grade 2, which I love to shoot.

I shot my 1st mule buck with this Savage 99 in .308...One of cousins has it now...Wish I could get it back.........

I shot my second pig with my Henry 45-70 All Weather. Head shot, DRT. It's my favorite gun to shoot, especially since my dad and I have worked up a handload that just a fun bullet to shoot.

I started my oldest on a Rossi Rio Grand 30-30 he took a pig with. It has since been replaced by a Weatherby .270, but it's a great gun. Will probably bring it back out for varmints or next time I go back to Texas (pic 3 or 4 years old)
