Pretty brutal report from Jim Matthews for the dove opener...I have to admit, it's been tough finding them...Even MCC, which is a totally different kind of habitat is really weak this year...Just hoping what has happened to band tailed pigeons isn't happening to mourning doves...

They're not extra...They're part of the 7 bird limit...Restrictions on other species is to be status quo (2 hen mallards, 2 cans, 2 redheads, etc.)

312B & C are moonscaped and look nothing like they used to...The only exception is 312C-1...It's the same island blind. 413 has been disced and mowed...Time will tell how much tule growth will take it back over....Looks great right now.
