Hate those things! Hooked one fishing off the rocks down in Baja once. Didn't want to get anywhere near those teeth. I was trying to figure out what to do with it as I was bringing it up on the rocks and it bit the line and broke off. Just as happy to watch it slither back into the water than...
The silver lining is that OnX continues to update their data. That alone is huge. (Regardless if it's private to public or vise-versa.)
To tag on to what was mentioned above, many areas (especially in the desert) have been designated as "Wilderness". Technically still huntable, but restricted...
A kiddie trailer! How stealth is that? I freaking love it! Wear a cycling jersey and some tight shorts and you'll blend right in! The anti's will think you're one of them. Then you can switch to your cammo when you get up there and you're all set. (Just be careful about blood dripping out of...
This is what I use to filter water in the back country. No pumping necessary. Let gravity do the work for you. Also, I generally use both a hard bottle (Nalgene) AND a bladder. The bladder for convenience and on the go hydration, the hard bottle as back up in case of bladder failure (that sounds...
That must be true. Put in 6 days hiking and glassing in '17. Saw lots of sheep, a ton of burros and a few yotes but no mulies. Stoked to try again this season!
D12. Man that place gets under your skin. Didn't think I'd get drawn again and pretty much put it down on a whim. Can't wait to get out there and scout it up!
Don't know why, but for some reason I remembered this case and dug around a bit to see if there was any follow-up. I'm glad to see there was some justice, but it makes me wonder how these two spun the story to their two young daughters.
Super cool! Good on ya! Congrats on the catch and happy b-day to your dad. If I could have just one more day to spend with my pop, that's what I wish I could do. Treasure those moments!
Well, at least some justice was served. Although her charge was reduced to criminal mischief (kinda like the guy that stole my truck and had the charge reduced to "take and drive a vehicle"), looks like she eventually lost her job as well.
Park City municipal attorney resigns months after...
Did mine a few years back. Get the test done online then sign up for the field day. I went to one at the Adair shooting range in Yuma. Had a real kick getting teamed up with youth who were doing it for the first time. Drove out on a Friday after work and slept in the Dez off Sidewinder Road. Got...
I bought some 140gr TSX to handload for the .270, but haven't got around to it yet. BC of the TTSX 130 is .392. The BC of the TSX (non-tipped) 140 is .404. My Model 70 FW loves the Vortex factory stuff. Hoping the handloads are even better.
Really well made film. I'm a climber, and even though you know he makes it, I was totally gripped for the entire sequence of the climb. Part of that was the incredible skill of Jimmy Chin, the guy that made the film, but Honnold is just incredible. I cannot fathom his ability to contain the fear...
Lake Wohlford Rd was closed due to mud and rocks so I had to go around. My mile long dirt road was actually passable without 4x4, but it's gonna take a few days with the tractor to tune it back up.
I scored an old RCBS JR2 and a number of dies, scale, powder measure, misc. slugs and gear from an estate. It is without a doubt all you need to get going on reloading. (I did install an Ergo Roller handle from InlineFabrication as an upgrade.) Works for me.
