Took a trip with the family to Vermont for Thanksgiving last week. It's the second week of the rifle season, so my 13 year old was excited to get out with Grandpa, and even my 9 year old wanted to try his hand at hunting for deer. We put in about 20-22 hours in the blind/stand over 6 days...

Is there public land anywhere around? Possible that he shot it on public and closest place to a road was that driveway? Not saying rigit's right, just curious. .

Maybe someone already asked it, but if we are hunting general public land, not a state land, do we need to have non-toxic shot this year, or not till next year?
