Thanks and no joke! My oldest it aged out of the youth options and this is my second oldest’s last year as a youth. My wife and I were saddened in October when we realized that more of our kids are now teenagers than are not (3-2). Next… it’s off to college.
As the ladies say, bigger is always better. For that price I would look at a pair of Vortex, either Diamondbacks or Crossfires. We have a few pairs of the Diamondbacks and for the price, they have served us really well.
That will be interesting to watch. What do you think the thinking is on planting them in Tulare County? National Park… red county to stick it to red states for not cooperating?
That’s the one killed in San Luis County? I can see a lone wolf traveling like that, but it seems odd to me that a pack would bypass all the good habitat between Shasta and Tulare and settle in Tulare. But, I am no biologist.
Not great news for our deer populations in the Central Valley. Jumping from Shasta to Tulare counties makes me wonder how many more packs are this far south. Won’t be long until they inhabit the So Cal ranges as well...
Welcome. I have no clue about base access/hunting, but here is the list of left over deer tags. The D zone tags are good for archery and rifle with a combined limit of 1 total deer.
I keep some small game heads in my quiver while archery hunting for deer in case I come across them (or quail... more likely), but I don't target them with a bow.
