Open spots - Oct 6-8 fishing on the Voyager out of Seaforth

Yeah, that weekend happens to be in between my archery and rifle season, so it's always just worked out. But honestly, I'm an average hunter at best, and much better at fishing, so I've put way more in the freezer on this one trip then I have in a hunting season. I really need to up my hunting...

Open spots - Oct 6-8 fishing on the Voyager out of Seaforth

Yup, I'm aware of the limits and how they work. That's why this is actually scheduled as a 2-day, but we're just getting back a little early...before dark. I hate coming back late on a Sunday, then making the drive home when you're already beat tired. So I'm planning on being back at the dock...

Open spots - Oct 6-8 fishing on the Voyager out of Seaforth

I'm charter master for 1.75 day on the Voyager on Oct 6-8 with Chuck at the helm. Annual trip that I'm taking over from a friend as the organizer. $600/person, 15 person max, includes meals (not snacks or drinks) and should also cover fuel surcharge (unless China or Russia attacks!!!). Bring...

    Spot & Stalk bow hunting

Last weekend was a pretty full moon. It's been my understanding, when it's a full moon, deer stay awake most of the night and do what deer do, eat, shit and frolic. This makes them tired much sooner during the morning/day. I do not have personal experience other than what more knowledgeable...

    Off grid power

Agreed, however, I will say, the 500 is heavier than I thought it would be. Not debilitating, but it's not as easy to move/toss around as the 240. Has a little more heft. I'll be testing it out the rest of the month during AO season.

    Off grid power

So recently picked up a Euhomy 55 qt fridge. The Jackery 240 will keep up no problem with ideal sun conditions to recharge it back to 100% during the day. You'll want at least 50-60% to keep it going all night. Because of a cloudy day at camp, ended up picking up a Jackery 500. Here's both...

    Truck gear??

I should add, jerry can of gas only if I know I'll be in backcountry for extended period of time, or a place very far from a gas station.

    Truck gear??

Before getting into hunting, I was and am a member of an offroading/overlanding club. Talk about going down a rabbit hole gear wise. So, in addition to EVERYTHING stated in the above posts, I carry (Toyota Tundra Crewmax 4wd): hi lift jack and OEM bottle jack PBblaster tow rope (dynamic)...

Pictures & information with or about children under the age of 18 is prohibited on SCH

Just reading up on this. This bill is so stupid. SB2571 prohibits "a FIREARM INDUSTRY MEMBER, as defined, from advertising or marketing any firearm-related product, as defined, in a manner that is designed, intended, or reasonably appears to be attractive to minors." First, are the admins of...

    Voyager 1.5 day, 4/29/22 - 5/1/22

With fishing, you gotta go when the bite is on. It's like the rut. Best time to go is when you know they are there. For whatever reason, the BFT have decided to show up very early. The night bite like we're seeing is usually seen in the fall. This is amazing and we are truly lucky...

    Voyager 1.5 day, 4/29/22 - 5/1/22

Yup, I remember you guys right there next to us. I was one of the guys with a fish. I picked up both of mine in about 1.5 hrs, on that night bite. They were definitely on the chew. Seemed like every type of jig got them going.

    Voyager 1.5 day, 4/29/22 - 5/1/22

BFT is amazing, however, fresh yellowfin tuna or yellowtail, still my favorite. Here's a shot at the bluefin (maguro/otoro, and some toro) from last night, and some yellowfin rolls from Oct 2021.

    Voyager 1.5 day, 4/29/22 - 5/1/22

I’ve fished this boat a couple times, with Chuck as co-captain and now captain. He’s an absolute fish killer. Headed south with the rest of the fleet, maybe 40 miles off the coast of Ensenada. Got there about 3:00 am on Sat. A few guys picked off a few with deep drop knife jigs, anything from...

SOLD - Golf club set (Taylormade, Titleist, Cleveland, Scotty Cameron)

Yeah, that particular Scotty putter goes from anywhere in the $300 - $450 range. I re-gripped it but it's smooth as silk. I'm getting old, had a couple bad shoulders for a bit and never went back. Shoulders healed, but just not into golf anymore. Primo set of clubs for someone starting out...

    Tribute 1.5 day (3/25/22)

Heavy rip roller/knife jig, 250g-450g. We pulled up early Sat morning right next to PS and they already had 30 on their deck. They finished off that first trip with 50, but I heard their trip that just returned from a 3-day got over 100. The bite is on right now. Larger grade school tuna...
