What are your thoughts on the nomad vests? The one in bottomlands is more than the mossy oak but the one in shadow leaf is the same price. Looks well designed.

I never have. Mostly it’s been for carrying all the gear and providing a seat. I use the game pouch for folding decoys. They always like to show legs sticking out in photos but I’m skeptical.

I’ll be there with the family. Question: last year I got charged admission for my son who’s too young to hunt. Was that a mistake or is that the plan for this year too? It makes it kind of pricey if you bring a bunch of non hunters with you.

My understanding was yes for big game and no for small game/upland. I’ve gone to Yuma for dove with guys who don’t have CA hunters ed and they bought the three day AZ small game license without any trouble.

Just a FYI, the Santee Walmart has some fishing gear on clearance. Nothing too amazing but there were some penn and pfleuger reels that were discounted to 50% off.
