Just chipping away at 'em this week

Definitely been a tough season. Shaping up to look just like last year. There’s birds here and there but nothing like it should be for this time of year.

    shooting gong

eBay ar500 plate free shipping on a lot of them. Probably a lot cheaper than industrial metal supply. 3/8 is plenty for all calibers if you get ar500. Regular mild steel you need 1”+

    3in shells vs 2 3/4 for dove

Good to know. I also have an 11-48 20 gauge from the 50s that was my great granpas. Also a fixed full choke. I’ve thought about boring that out but I don’t want to change that gun. He killed so many birds with it the checkering is wore out and I can’t help but keep it original

    3in shells vs 2 3/4 for dove

It has a fixed full choke. I was considering having it bored out but I was under the impression that the Remingtons older than the 50s or so the barrels are softer and could not shoot steel. Mine is from 1936. Side note NRA has a short documentary on these Remington auto shotguns that was...

Steve, is than an A5? I recently picked up this Remington model 11 sportsman in 20 gauge and I love it. I wish I could shoot steel out of it

    Leftovers gone wild

I don’t have any pictures but I started canning recently and it’s an awesome way to make ready to eat meals. They last year on the shelf and you just have to warm them up. My favorite recipe I’ve done so far is duck stroganoff. Just warm it up and throw it on some egg noodles and it’s delicious...

    Free canoe

I’d say 75 lbs or so. One guy could lift it weight wise but because it’s so long and awkward it’s pretty much a two man lift. We’ve put it in an 8 ft bed with the tailgate down but anything shorter you’d need one of those harbor freight bed extensions

    Free canoe

Free canoe. We used to use it at free roams at kern and hunting sloughs in NorCal. I think it’s 15 or 16 feet. We load it up with decoys and gear plus two guys and it was very stable. No leaks at all. I’d rather someone take it who can use it rather that trashing it. Located in chino

    Wister Activity

Talking to wister staff at the end of the season they are going to do the same thing to the 312s and w12s as they did to the y15s and w11A and B. Also sounded like they are going to add a few blinds to the w12s including a handicap blind.
