2025/26 the duck season that sucked

So didn't post a lot this season. Wanted to do a long term review of the high end dry waders that I absolutely love. That didn't happen.

I did kill some ducks




Here is where it went sideways......

Chip my lab decided to blow his acl and end his season. First surgery was a train wreck and I had to switch surgeons. Second surgery is good and expecting a full recovery.
See if you can find any of the problems with the first surgery





Yeah, it looks like a yard sale... Good news is the second went well and chip is happy



Sooooo I tried to hunt with out a dog and that didn't go well...

So yeah that's my season, ohhh almost forgot I got diagnosed with leukemia



Pretty sure I'm not going to die, it's cml for anyone that's wondering. Yes that's a huge hose with my blood in it.

Go to the Dr, get your blood tested! I could have died very very very easy.

Glad you’re still with us. Being alive is a prerequisite for hunting next season, but I’m sure your diagnosis put things like hobbies into proper perspective.

PS When the battery in my Makita runs down mid-screw, I usually grab a screwdriver and finish the job. Geez…

as I was reading and seeing pictures, I was thinking I hope all is well with your dog. Then whoa, plot twist.
