image.jpg So I’ve been love in with a 25 caliber for quite some time. I recently built a 25 Sherman Max, which is a improved version of SAUM case. It lended decent results but did not do anything with the SAUM didn’t do so I decided to chamber up a 25–7 PRC goals are 3100 to 3150 ft./s with a 135 class bullet, barrel life may be 6 to 700 rounds which doesn’t concern me. 24” proof barrel is on order as well as a Manners folding stock. Action will be a gunwerks which has been a workhorse with several different barrels over the years. Pictured left to right 6.5 SAUM 25 MAX 25-7PRC

.25 is my favorite, owned a 25-06 since 1975 and its done a lot of damage (see pics). Last year I built a .257 Weatherby, quality action , barrel, trigger, stock and optics etc.. along with hand loading using all the absurdly expensive components and other stuff. So far so good got it up to 3320 with a 117 Hammer just ned to do some more testing

I know a guy that shoots copious amounts of large mammals often.. with different variables of the 25...he says they work. Not sure he can speak to paper...but for sure large mammals. He loves the 25!
